Bread Heaven

Great Harvest Bread Co. freshly baked breads, friendly service and a warm atmosphere.

Great Harvest Bread Co. is a bread-lover’s heaven.

Behind the service counter is a 5-foot-tall rack of freshly baked breads of all types. The aroma of warm wheat hangs heavily in the air.

Sandwiches made of the shop’s fresh bread make up most of the menu, but it also serves excellent paninis. Most of the meals will cost from $7 to $9. Most meals are served with tortilla chips.

An overlooked highlight of the shop is the excellent coffee. They serve organic brews, and on a recent trip, it was of an excellent quality – full-bodied and brewed strong. It was better than what most coffee houses chains serve.

The setting is warm. The tables and fixtures are rustic and made of dark wood. The floor has about a dozen tables with outdoor seating for about a dozen people.

The shop is part of a small franchise and is family owned and operated. It sits at 31795 Rancho California Rd. It’s open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
