Cal State Admission Ensured for Some Temecula Students

Any students meeting Cal State San Marcos' minimum requirements will be guaranteed admission if an agreement is signed Tuesday.

The Temecula Valley Unified School District and the Cal State are scheduled to sign a memorandum of understanding laying out these goals at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the district's headquarters.

This program, if approved, will kick in for students graduating in 2015, said Christine Vaughan, a spokesperson for the university.

The Cal State struck similar deals in the past will districts in Escondido, San Pasqual, Oceanside and San Diego, Vaughan said.
