Final Vote to Deny Quarry Postponed
The county's staff needs more time to get the documentation ready.
A vote that could finalize the denial of a quarry planned near Temecula was postponed today.
The decision will be made during a meeting scheduled for 9 am. on Dec. 7 at the county administration building, 4080 Lemon St. in Riverside.
The Riverside County Planning Commission rescheduled the vote during a meeting today because the planning department's staff needed more time to get the paperwork ready, according to county documents.

The vote will finalize a decision made Aug. 31 that would barred a quarry from being built just south of Temecula.

Granite Construction, the company planning the quarry, intends to appeal the decision after it is finalized. The decision will then go to the Riverside County Board of Supervisors.

If Granite Construction keep the money in their own pockets, then we should have no problem winning this ordeal.
