Free Lunch, Dinner at Pechanga for Vets

Active military and vets will be served lunch and dinner for free at the casino.

Retired, honorably discharged or active-duty military members will be served a free lunch at Pechange Resort and Casino from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Veteran's Day.

A dinner buffet will also be available from 4 to 11 p.m.

“We are happy to once again serve our veterans and honor their service,” said Pechanga Development Corporation President Joaquin Fletcher in an emailed announcement. “From hosting military balls to supporting veteran causes, Pechanga knows its debt of gratitude to these men and women and we are not afraid to show it each year as we observe Veteran’s Day.”

Military members were asked to bring a military identification card, veteran’s identification card, a card from a veteran's organization, such as VFW or American Legion, or discharge papers, dd214 or other veteran's ID.

Since Veteran’s Day 2009, when the tradition began, Pechanga has served 4,386 free buffets to veterans and active duty military members, according to spokesperson Robert Bledsoe.
