A bicycle rider who was hit by a tour bus and nearly killed was identified and is still hospitalized, a sheriff's official said today.

The 14-year-old Temecula resident was riding her bike around 12:25 p.m. April 27 on Redhawk Parkway at Paseo Parallan when a black bus crashed into her, sending her flying to the street.

The girl had no identification on her and no helmet, though sheriff's investigators were able to get in touch with her family, said Deputy Alberto Martinez.
