Francine Kolikias, 45, of Temecula was taken into custody and her children turned over to Child Protective Services following the noon or so search of her room Thursday at the Comfort Inn & Suites Hotel, 41005 California Oaks Road.
A Temecula woman arrested in a Murrieta hotel -- her teenage children taken from her -- was behind bars today on drug and probation violation charges.
Francine Kolikias, 45, was taken into custody and her children turned over to Child Protective Services following the noon or so search of her room Thursday at the Comfort Inn & Suites Hotel, 41005 California Oaks Rd.
Police had been alerted by someone who thought the teens were being abused and drugs were present in the room, according to Murrieta police Sgt. Don Weller.
Because the Temecula woman was on probation, with a condition that searches can be performed at any time, the hotel room was tossed.
Police found drugs and stolen local store items, the sergeant said.
Kolikias was on probation for a theft conviction when arrested, police said.
She was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of drug possession and probation violation, according to sheriff's jail records.
She remained behind bars in lieu of $5,000 bail today, pending a court appearance Tuesday at the Southwest Justice Center, in French Valley.
