UPDATE: Driver Survives 50-Foot Plunge
A pickup crashes off a road and down a 50-foot embankment into a canyon.
A driver who plunged his truck off a road and down a 50-foot embankment was rushed to a hospital today.
A passerby reported a truck crashing off the road around 1:31 p.m. on Rancho California Road just west of Ridge Park Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The male driver was found unconscious but breathing, according to a CHP dispatcher.
The driver was rushed to a hospital with minor injuries, according to Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department.
Three fire engines, a truck company and 15 firefighters conducted a "rope rescue," and by 3 p.m., the truck was retrieved, according to Hagemann.

That is a long fall and he has minor injuries because I assume the truck didnt roll. Thank God for "over the side" and not "the truck that rolled over and over and over".
Hope you are doing ok driver and hope this wasnt a case of you avoiding someone coming at you straight on and he didnt stop. :( People dont often just randonly drive off the side of a 50 foot drop.
