Have you ever done something so incredibly stupid that you hate yourself a little bit?
The morning of Sunday, January 13th, at around 12:20-12:30pm in the parking lot of the Shamrock Pub in Murrieta, I placed my black leather tri-fold wallet/Nook case on the top of my car to search for my keys in my purse.
Found the keys in my pocket, but didn't put my nook back in my purse. In fact, I drove to Barnes & Noble. With the Nook on the roof of my car.
Obviously, it wasn't there when I parked. It wasn't in my car at all. So I drove back, hoping that maybe it had fallen off when I hit that speedbump in the parking lot? But it hadn't. I walked the same path I drove. I drove the path over and over.
No Nook.
It should be stated that the nook holder/wallet contained: ID, credit card, debit card, insurance card, cash, etc. And there's no password protection on my Nook Shop.
Somewhere out there is my entire life in a leather tri-fold case.
I know the statistics of someone finding it and being a good enough person to a) not steal my money, b) not purchase ebooks, and c) not sell the nook are incredibly low. Most likely, cars have driven over my device and ground it into glass and pebbles on the side of a street and then people have found the cards and gone on shopping sprees and stolen my identity.
I just hope that there's someone out there who has found it, and then read this ad, and wants to return it.
If you are that person, and my Nook is in good condition, and my iTunes gift card is unused, I will reward you with $100.
Please return the items in question to All of the Above Cafe, 28120 Jefferson Avenue, Temecula, CA.
