Win VIP tixs to 1 Direction from SDCCU

San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, is giving away a VIP experience to One Direction, one of this summer’s hottest concerts. The giveaway is part of SDCCU’s Superfan Experience promotion, which features VIP ticket packages to select shows.

“SDCCU is happy to give our customers and the community the opportunity to win a chance to feel like a VIP for the day,” said Teresa Halleck, SDCCU president and CEO. “We treat all SDCCU customers like VIPs everyday, so this is a natural extension to our offerings.”

One Direction, dubbed the new British invasion, was created during the seventh season of the UK version of “X-Factor.” Six young men, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, had tried out as solo candidates but did not advance in the boys category. Instead, they joined together as a band and placed third during the TV show’s final week. After the show ended, One Direction was signed by Simon Cowell’s Syco Records and recorded their debut album “Up All Night,” which was released in September 2011. In November 2012, the band released its second album, “Take Me Home,” which also is the name for their current North American tour.
