The training is scheduled to take place from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Saturday through Friday.

Temecula residents may hear loud booming noises this weekend and next week  from Camp Pendleton, where artillery units are conducting live fire training on the North County Marine Corps base starting Saturday.

The training is scheduled to take place from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Saturday through Friday, according to Pendleton's public affairs office.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be heard up to 50 miles away.

Residents with questions about the noise were urged to call base officials at 760-725-0357.
