Attention Teen Drivers and Parents: Start Smart in the New Year

CHP will offer a driver safety course in Temecula for new or future teen drivers.

Are you a parent of a teen driver or one who will be getting behind the wheel this year?

California Highway Patrol Temecula Area is coming to the rescue by once again hosting its driver safety program called Start Smart.

Designed for teens ages 15 to 19 and their parents or guardians, new and future licensed teens will learn how to drive safely, avoid collisions, use their seat belts properly and more. Parent responsibilities will also be discussed.

There is a choice of two classes offered in January: 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24 or 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30.

Classes will be held at the regional CHP office at 27685 Commerce Center Dr. in Temecula.

The free class is two hours long; registration is required.
