Exhibit Honors Erle Stanley Gardner

An exhibit honoring the mystery writer and Temecula resident is scheduled to open Saturday.

An exhibit honoring Erle Stanley Gardner is scheduled to open on Saturday.

The exhibit, titled "Erle Stanley Gardner's Baja," will run until Jan. 15 at the Temecula Museum. For the location, .

"The Baja desert was a wonderland of exploration and unique beauty for him, a place that he held dear to his heart," said Susan Blanch, a spokesperson for the museum, in an email.

The museum's annual Erle Stanley Gardner event will be held during the exhibition on Nov. 19.

It is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. with a theatrical rendition of a Perry Mason mystery by the Temecula Valley Players. A gallery talk entitled "The Case of the Murdered Miner" by Steve Williamson, a Gardner buff and local historian, is scheduled for 7 p.m.
