The thundering explosions that are rumbling through Southwest Riverside County will continue through Dec. 7, according to Camp Pendleton Marine Corp base officials.
The noise is part of routine base training involving live mortar and artillery fire.
Here is the training schedule for this week:
Tuesday, Dec. 4
-Mortar Fire = 6 a.m. through midnight
Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.
Wednesday, Dec. 5
-Mortar Fire = 6 a.m. through midnight
Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.
Thursday, Dec. 6
-Mortar Fire = 6 a.m. through midnight
Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.
-Artillery Fire = 6 a.m. through midnight
Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.
Friday, Dec. 7
-Mortar Fire = 6 a.m. through noon
Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.
-Artillery Fire = 6 a.m. through midnight
