Explosions To Rock Southwest Riverside County All Week

The live fire training began Tuesday at Camp Pendleton, and the resulting noise is being heard in Southwest Riverside County.

The thundering explosions that are rumbling through Southwest Riverside County will continue through Dec. 7, according to Camp Pendleton Marine Corp base officials.

The noise is part of routine base training involving live mortar and artillery fire.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

Wednesday, Dec. 5

-Mortar Fire = 6 a.m. through midnight

Thursday, Dec. 6

-Mortar Fire = 6 a.m. through midnight

Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.

-Artillery Fire = 6 a.m. through midnight

Friday, Dec. 7

-Mortar Fire = 6 a.m. through noon
