"A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur," the National Weather Service reported.

Santa Ana winds that are forecast to blow through Southwest Riverside County this week have prompted a fire weather watch, according to the National Weather Service.

Beginning late Thursday night, winds out of the northeast to east will blow 25 to 40 mph with gusts 50 to 65 mph in wind prone locations, according to the agency.

Relative humidity will be mostly 5 to 15 percent with only a few hours each night that humidity increases above 25 percent, the NWS reported.
