Gas Price Drops Throughout County, at Lowest Level Since February

And, the average price is 49.8 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

Gasoline prices in the Inland Empire dropped to their lowest level in nine months Sunday, down two-tenths of a cent to $3.711.

West Coast refineries are all operating normally, and have switched to winter gas blends, which have increased supplies and pushed prices down, an analyst said.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has decreased for 39 consecutive days and is 3.9 cents less than one week ago, 22.9 cents lower than one month ago and 49.8 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has fallen 30.2 cents over the past 39 days, including 1.2 cents on Saturday. The dropping prices were immediately preceded by a 10- day streak of rising prices totaling 15.8 cents.

"Heading into November and December, there should be more downward pressure on gas prices provided there are no refinery issues or other incidents because those months see lower fuel demand and the cheaper winter blend of fuel is being sold in California," said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
