Moms Reach Out To Family Of Lake Elsinore Man Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver

TVMOMs has gotten in touch with Lake Elsinore resident Karen Bolger, the mom of 8-month-old twins whose husband Scott was killed in a hit-and-run on Saturday in Canyon Lake.

Temecula Valley Mother's of Multiples has reached out to the local community in support of the wife and twins of a Lake Elsinore man who was killed by hit-and-run driver Dec. 14.

The group of moms, who advocate for families with twins, triplets, etc., have formed a diaper drive for the family.

"TVMOMs has gotten in touch with Karen Bolger, the mom of 8-month-old twins, whose husband was killed in a hit-and-run on Saturday. She is in a state of shock and was genuinely moved that we wanted to help. We have set up a 'diaper train" for her, which will fulfill her need for diapers/wipes and formula for a while," wrote Erica Edwards, a member of YVMOMs.

According to Edwards, Bolger is in need of  size 3 or 4 Huggies or Costco Brand diapers, Huggies Natural Plus wipes, and Similac Sensitive Formula.

"If anyone from our community wants to help, please message me. Thank you," Edwards wrote.

Edwards can be reached via her Facebook page or at 951-795-8577; those interested in donating can also reach out to TVMOMs via the organization's website.

Those who want to help may also drop off donations for the family at Chick-fil-A in Murrieta Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. Any and all donations will be accepted, Edwards said. TVMOMs will transport the items to the family. The restaurant is located at 24794 Madison Ave.

Scott Bolger, 32, was walking home from a Canyon Lake tavern early Dec. 14 when he was struck and killed by a motorist who failed to stop at the scene.

He was found on Railroad Canyon Road, 245 feet west of Canyon Lake Drive South in Canyon Lake, the report stated.

The investigation is ongoing and the driver is still being sought. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Deputy Rabago at the Perris Sheriff’s Station, (951) 210-1000.
