PHOTOS: Temecula Residents Hit the Trails

People from Temecula and Los Angeles County enjoyed temperatures in the 70s Saturday afternoon at 6,000 feet elevation and higher in the San Jacinto Mountains, above the San Gorgonio Pass.

Black Mountain Trail above the San Gorgonio Pass had a few visitors Saturday afternooon.

Hikers from Temecula and Los Angeles County enjoyed afternoon temperatures in the 70s at 6,000 feet elevation and higher in the San Jacinto Mountains.

The  trail head is on Highway 243 between Poppet Flats and Lake Fulmor. Take a map, sunscreen, at least a quart of water per person, and headlamps if you start in the early morning or late afternoon, some trekkers suggested.
