Recycled Art and Fashion Show Set for April 20 in Temecula

From junk to funk: Celebrating Earth Day with a recycled art and fashion show to benefit the Mt. San Jacinto College Art Department.

Temecula Recycling and Hine Temecula Mazda are proud to present the Recycled Art and Fashion Show 2013.

This second annual event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Monte de Oro Winery, 35820 Rancho California Road, Temecula. Proceeds will benefit the Art Department at Mt. San Jacinto College.

The art students from Mt. San Jacinto College will be strutting the runway with their recycled fashion/wearable art. Most of the pieces the students design are made from at least 50 percent of recycled items such as newspaper, plastics, can tabs, metals, duct tape, plastic bags, rubber, thrift store items and more. All designers identify their pieces and most make a statement or portray a message.
