Southbound I-15 Exit to Winchester Road Slated for Weekend Closure
The construction closure is scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 and last through 4 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5.
The City of Temecula is advising the public ahead of time that the Winchester Road offramp from southbound Interstate 15 will be closed during an upcoming weekend.
The construction closure is scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 and last through 4 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5.
During this period, southbound Interstate 15 may be reduced to three lanes. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes such as Murrieta Hot Springs Road to Jefferson Avenue or Rancho California Road to Jefferson Avenue.

Access to all businesses near the Winchester southbound off-ramp will be maintained with road detours commencing at the Rancho California Road exit.
"We apologize in advance for this temporary inconvenience," the City stated in an emailed announcement.

"The good news is that when these improvements are complete at the end of 2013, the Winchester Road southbound offramp will be widened and enhanced with a new dedicated exit lane."
