Water Park on Tap For 2014, Developer Says

According to an article in the North County Times, developer Wild Rivers could not make a 2013 deadline and for a while it seemed as though the park was dead in the water.

A  water park project that appeared dead in the water for Temecula may be developed after all, it was reported this week.

Mike Riedel, president of developer company Wild Rivers, told the North County Times that the proposed water park might be built about the same time that another park in Irvine would be constructed.

The water park in Temecula plan has been bandied about for more than five years.

In 2006, a water park was planned for a site near Winchester and Ynez roads but there was opposition from area residents and tenants at a nearby business park, the Times reported.

The council again in 2009 agreed to sell land at Dendy and Diaz roads for $6.7 million for another water park developer but the company fell short of the money needed, according to the NCT.

The Temecula Imperial Palace, cost to taxpayers: Over $70,000,000 http://www.pe.com/local-news/riverside-county/temecula/temecula-headlines-index/20110116-temecula-city-hall-stays-within-budget.ece So is this a lie? If so who is lying? The PE reporter? The City Manager? Mr. Butler?
Eric Cartman September 09, 2012 at 09:07 PM
Now who is the liar? This is a wonderful statistic that you fabricated because it is not verifiable notwithstanding that this is denied by the FBI...so what hat did you pull this one out of?
Eric Cartman September 09, 2012 at 09:08 PM
Temecula Software Eng - That is false and a fabrication...
Popeye September 09, 2012 at 09:16 PM
Eric, all you need to do is your research and you will find out that Temecula is the 2nd safest city in all America! But I would like to know your model city so we can understand where you are coming from. Also Temeculas median income is 89K with 115000 population. Just to make sure you do not state Mayberry a fictious city.
Eric Cartman September 09, 2012 at 09:23 PM
If you claim it then support it. "Where is the beef?" I am saying that I CALLED the FBI and they deny your claim. It sounds great but just show me your proof?
Popeye September 09, 2012 at 09:32 PM
Obviously Eric you have no clue. Saying you called the FBI makes my case that you do not know what you are talking about.. http://www.pe.com/local-news/southwest/southwest-public-safety-headlines/20111013-temecula-city-named-second-safest-in-america.ece
Popeye September 09, 2012 at 09:44 PM
Eric what is your model city that think is better?
Eric Cartman September 09, 2012 at 09:58 PM
"Business Insider used FBI statistics to rank the southwest Riverside County cities among the 13 safest in the nation; they were the only Inland cities ranked. Irvine was No. 1." "An FBI spokesman in Washington, D.C., warned against comparing cities using the bureau’s annual Uniform Crime Report data. Bill Carter called such comparisons “simplistic and incomplete” and said they don’t take into account many variables affecting crime rates, such as population density" I suggest that you lay off the booze or weed because they are doing you absolutely no good. Quotes right from your article supporting my point! It is simply untrue, just a fabrication made up to make things look better than they are. This is the "Jedi Mind Trick" being used on Temecula Citizens and just another reason why Naggar and Washington need to go.
Eric Cartman September 09, 2012 at 10:02 PM
One where politicians listen to their people instead of thinking that they know what is best. One where we aren't in an unsalvageable fiscal situation where they are forced to sell out their peoples rights just to pay the bills for the time being. That is a good start. The house of cards is about to collapse. Keep spreading your rhetoric just like Obama, people are no longer buying it.
Popeye September 09, 2012 at 10:12 PM
Eric, Temecula is the 2nd safest city in America. Obviously you have a problem Naggar and Washington. I am 99 percent sure they will win election for the superb job they are performing. Sending falsehoods make you look childish. You still have not gave the audience your role model city...or examples of a city that mimics you so call quality of life.
Eric Cartman September 09, 2012 at 10:16 PM
You obviously have a comprehension problem. Your OWN proof says that this study was done by a business journal and the data that they used is not accurate. This is the facts no matter what liberal gobbledegook you insist on spewing out. Naggar and Washington can project any fabrication that they want but this video only presents supported facts that can not be denied. Anyone that would support such failure deserves whatever fate they get: http://youtu.be/OMKRuJx-bM8
Eric Cartman September 09, 2012 at 10:21 PM
Obviously Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone needs Mike Naggar and Chuck Washington to do his bidding for this waterpark. I can't wait to see what other schemes they dorp in our lap. http://imgur.com/aIUaM

Eric please enlighten us who would be more qualified and why...yawn!!! What city in your opinion is better, that may be better than running you mouth with falshhods against this city? I think you do not live here..

I am beginning to think that I should be posting this in crayon to help you understand it. The only software that you are capable of engineering is a BS generator. This city doesn't even have it's own police force but we will soon have a water park....Nothing against the Sheriffs that are leased to protect us. I am just once again saying that your statement is, by the proof that YOU provided, fabricated. A random magazine article using inaccurate data does not count as proof that we live in the 2nd safest city in the Nation no more than Obama claiming that he has created more jobs than any other President before him is fact...People can say anything, something that you seem to be fond of...

Temecula just paid over $20K last week for a water slide at Great Western Park. Do we need another slide? (Page 4) http://sire.cityoftemecula.org/SIREpub/cache/2/uvakm2cdps3o1flq53ylzy4j/105548909092012053540508.PDF

Eric, you pretty much are posting in crayon. Your inept and erroneous arguments make it unclear you are capable of making an honest and intelligent thought. You criticize Temecula government with no other government that share your beliefs. The city of Bell is probably where you came from. Obviously (this fact) I make more money than you and you are very jealous of my life due to your inadequacies. You display them perfectly in this forum. Hey, what ever float your boat.
Eric Cartman September 10, 2012 at 03:56 AM
*floats Your a Daisy, just ask you? No doubt that your great fortune is tied to Mike or Chuck or Jeff or whom ever. You may even have gotten a piece of that $517,000,000 that they spent. Having a horse in the race is always a great reason for a person to support failure.
The Patriot September 10, 2012 at 04:00 AM
"Obviously (this fact) I make more money than you and you are very jealous of my life due to your inadequacies." What a typical response from someone with their hand in the cookie jar. So what are you doing for your reward? Eric, this guy is undoubtedly tied into the mix. Good call!
The Patriot September 10, 2012 at 04:04 AM
Someone really hit home with TVOR. I am just glad to see that people can see what is going on. Hopefully the election in November will confirm it.
The Patriot September 10, 2012 at 04:09 AM
Note to all local developers: It looks like the Temecula Gravy Train that this city council has been riding may be coming to an end. Sorry boys, maybe Menifee is hiring. On the bright side, we may get a Water Park out of it!
Paul Jacobs September 10, 2012 at 04:30 AM
Is TVOR an acronym for Temecula Valley of Rancon?
Popeye September 10, 2012 at 11:08 AM
Note to Patriot. Temecula is far better off financially than your group pf misfits that can't even give an example of a city that is run by there ideology and was successful. Pretty much you and Eric fall from the the same tree. Spreading lies with no facts. Outsiders That do not live in Temecula.
Popeye September 10, 2012 at 11:13 AM
It sad that Eric and Patriot are mental midgets that have not come with any solution to allegations against the city.
The Patriot September 10, 2012 at 06:14 PM
Note to drunk software can't spell guy: "It sad that Eric and Patriot are mental midgets that have not come with any solution to allegations against the city." *It is sad or It's sad Actually what I think IS sad is that such a self proclaimed "legend" can't even take the time to spell correctly. Just drunk again, are ya? All boozed up, hitting the comments at 4:00 am? You sound like a broken record. What a pathetic looser!
TVOR September 12, 2012 at 01:05 AM
Good one Paul, I LOL'd at that one.
