News Release from the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival:
It's a phenomenon that occurs every year.
Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival fans hover over their computer awaiting that chance to buy a campsite for the annual event. Festival campsites sell out in less than an hour. Campsites at Lake Skinner where the event is held go on sale at 8 a.m., March 4, 2014.
Campers have the best seats in the house for the early morning hot air balloon launches, awaking to the dawn skies filled with balloons May 30, 31, and June 1.
The Festival’s park setting provides natural vistas whether flying aboard a hot air balloon, or gazing at the sights from the ground. The three-day event includes morning hot air balloon launches, evening balloon glows, wine tasting from premium wineries, concerts on two different stages, and a Sunday freestyle motocross show.
“Photographers revel in the visuals from dawn balloon ascensions to the colorful evening balloon glows,” Festival executive director Carol Popejoy added. “This makes camping during the event the extreme Festival experience.”
