Could UFOs and City's Early Beginnings be Linked?

It is documented in the land by petroglyphs, or rock etchings, including those in Laguna Niguel that indigenous people around the world have tried to describe or paint things that appear to be space craft or space aliens.

Laguna Niguel, a city whose name is reportedly derived from a village called "Niguili,” was once inhabited by Native Americans who lived on the land and flourished. Some say the land could be sacred and perhaps that is why there have been numerous UFO sightings here in the past decade, and as recently as last month.

But what could UFOs and Native American land have in common? More than you might think.

The Native Americans who lived in Laguna Niguel were the Juaneño or Acjachemem and received their Spanish name from the priests of the California mission chain. Today, they call themselves the Juaneño Band of Mission.

According to Debra Campbell a local intuitive counselor, spiritual teacher, artist and healer, as well as a Native American herself, "it is documented in the land by petroglyphs, or rock etchings, and the like that indigenous people around the world have tried to describe or paint things that appear to be space craft or space aliens."

Some exist in Africa, Australia and some here in this country, she said.

“Native American tribes often conducted sacred rituals along rivers, oceans, high places and ley lines which are natural energy grids along the earth. Those places sometimes had more minerals and crystals and thus had more energy,” Campbell said. “It is conceivable that UFOs would be drawn to the same energetic patterns in the earth that the Native American Shamans and medicine men and women were. Energy is energy. So there could have been some interaction in the past where the craft where seen in the same area as ceremonies were taking place. I am not sure if the craft would have been drawn to the Native Americans specifically per se because these types of craft have been seen all over the world for thousands of years.”

And rock etchings are closer than you might have thought, too.

With thousands of acres of wilderness and offering hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian use in Laguna Niguel, some parks and canyons at the south end of the Laguna Greenbelt, are favored with petroglyphs etched by native people.

For example, according to O.C. Parks representatives, some petroglyphs were found by researchers around Laguna Niguel in the late 1960s as seen in the photos in this story. An report shared with Laguna Niguel Patch reads, "The poorly preserved, faded red, orange, white and black pictographs were found on a flat boulder on the floor at the mouth of the case, on the ceiling overhang ... The designs include a man on horseback with raised bow and arrow ...There are zigzag designs, three triangles, concentric circles, a hook and red cross ..."

Added Fredda Van Schmus a resident since the 1970s and who is of Cherokee and Mayan decent, "I have heard there were tribes in this area and maybe some spirits, too. Is there a connection with UFOs? Perhaps."

Speaking of UFOs, in past decade there have been more than 10 UFO sightings, the most recent was on March 3, according to the website that tracks such phenomenon, ufostalker.com:

  • On Sept. 25, 2010 there was a “bright orange sphere changing in size,” reported near Los Serranos Drive.
  • On Sept. 27, 2009, “a cigar-shaped UFO was moving south,” near Crown Valley Parkway and Central Park Drive.
  • On Sep. 17, 2008, “star light illuminations with orange lights on the bottom, traveling quietly, ascending higher into the sky” were reported near La Plata Drive.
  • On Nov. 26, 2010, “...Low-flying, high-speed white lights chasing around red lights on top,” was flying north over the I-5 between Crown Valley and Golden Lantern Street.
  • On Aug. 1, 2011, a “green fireball flying through the sky for a couple of seconds until what seemed like it burned out,” was reported near Rue De Cezanne.
  • On Aug. 27, “Four objects were flying in arrow,” near Niguel Ranch Road.

Do you think there is a connection between early settlers to Laguna Niguel and UFOs?

I've noticed all this interest in UFOs. I'm a well respected, educated, middle-age woman in OC and I have had a lifetime of unexplained and strange events happen to me. I've been exploring the subject of UFOs and life beyond our earthly home for some time now. I've come up with many theories (based on my studies and personal experience). The local chapter of MUFON is too far for me to make their meetings (Costa Mesa), so I would like to hear from others who may wish to set up a South County group? For now may I suggest reading Zacharia Stichin. He was one of the few scholars who translated ancient cuneiform writings. Very interesting what he came up with (although many will find it too much for them to believe). Of course, "Chariots of the Gods" is a MUST read. I'm currently reading "Messages" by Stan Romanek. His is an extreme case of alien contact. Next week I will be visiting the Yucatan, Mexico where I will explore the Mayan ruins. One conclusion I have which comes out of my research is that mankind is due for a major change. I plan to learn all I can in the next few months. If anyone has any interest in this subject please let me know if you'd like to correspond.
