Check Out Old Town Temecula Community Theater's New Lineup in Free Preview Event

The following is a news release from the city of Temecula: 
 
The Old Town Temecula Community Theater will host a free preview of its 2014-15 season on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 1 pm. This family-friendly event will include live dance, classical, and jazz performances, as well as video presentations of highlights from the upcoming season. 

Theater Manager Bea Barnett said, “This season we really focused on the Temecula ideal of preserving tradition while fostering innovation. We stayed true to the best elements of the Theater’s past successes, and then branched out into truly innovative territory to residents more of what they love: family-friendly, world-class entertainment options that are close to home.”

The Theater’s 2014-15 season will boast the four perennially popular Temecula Presents’ series, Dance, Groove, Classical, and Big Band; as well as two new series: the Aloha Series, which will highlight the music of the Pacific Islands, and the Legends Series, which will feature tribute bands honoring the music of Led Zeppelin, Carlos Santana, and Chicago. The Aloha Series kicks off with a performance on July 15 by Henry Kapono, with the Kalama Brothers opening.  
 
The Theater’s Resident companies will be presenting West Side Story, The Wizard of Oz, Aida, Zombie Prom, A Christmas Carol, The Nutcracker, and The Addams Family. 
 
The jam-packed season opening weekend will feature a rocking tribute by Led Zepagain on Sep 4, a Groove Series performance on Sep 5 by Latin GRAMMY-winner Trio Ellas, a Classical Series performance by ZOFO Piano Duo on Sep 6, and a Big Band Series performance featuring Musical Chairs with Derrik Lewis on Sep 7.
