Cybil Shepard to Present Award at Film Fest

The famous actress will present Peter Bogdonavich with Lifetime Acheivement Award as part of upcoming film and music festival.

Legendary film and television actress Cybil Shepard and producer Peter Bogdanavich are set to reunite at the 17th Annual Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival.

Shepard got her start in film starring in Bogdanavich's films, most notably "The Last Picture Show" in 1971, after he spotted her in a fashion magazine

“It’s fitting that 40 years after he jump-started her career, Cybill Shepard presents Peter Bogdanavich with our Lifetime Achievement Award,” says festival event director Jo Moulton.

The Lifetime Achievement awards ceremony will be held on Sunday September 18 at Pechanga Resort and Casino.

Both Bogdanavich and Shepard will make guest appearances as they screen their film from 1975 ‘At Long Last Love’.

The sceening and rare Q&A session will be held at Ultra Star Cinemas in Tower Plaza at 9 pm. on September 17.

“For Peter and Cybil to come together here in Temecula to support a film that they are still so passionate about after some 30 years is so great for us and we are delighted to share this unique occasion with everyone,” Moulton said.

Tickets for the screening are available on the festivals website www.tviff.com or at the Tower Plaza box office.

About the Festival

The festival takes place September 14-18 at Ultra Star Theater in Tower Plaza Shopping Center. The festival is presented by Cinema Entertainment Alliance, a non-profit arts and education organization dedicated to celebrating world cinema and music.

In 2010 over 300 film-makers, musicians, producers directors, writers, judges, composers, arrangers, agents, publicists, cast and crew participated in the festival. Over 1800 people attended the event, wrote event spokesperson Annette Brown.
