Old Town Temecula has been converted into a Winter Wonderland, and that includes a public ice skating rink that opens Dec. 14.
Skating will take place in a 3,500-square-foot rink located at Main and Mercedes streets; skaters can show their stuff starting at 4 p.m. Friday.
The fun is part of the WinterFest celebration in Old Town that runs through Jan. 6. In addition to skating, there will be snow at Pennypickle's Workshop/Temecula Children's Museum starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Santa will also be at the museum and will hear children's wishes Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Tahquitz District Boy Scouts will take souvenir photos for a donation and help Santa in his workshop.
For more information on the ice skating rink, visit www.temeculaevents.org or call (951) 297-9ice. Rink hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily through Jan. 6.
