Local musician Jeff Myers recently received a four star review and was the pick of the week from the online website www.MuzicReviews.com.

Myers cites the Beatles as his main influence and source of inspiration for his recently released album, "Gemini."

He plays all the instruments on the album himself.

Myers has been compared to sounding somewhat like John Lennon, and the first track on his new album, "Stop Your Crying Girl," is likened to the Beatles' song ‘Blackbird,’ stated Muzic Reviews' writer Christen LaFond.

All of the songs showcase Myers skill as a musician. He plays acoustic guitar, bass and piano in a slow fashion, however, the music doesn’t feel sluggish, according to Muzic Reviews.

“The mix of acoustic, rhythmic drumming and the sound of maracas somehow create a celestial, haunting sound,” LaFond wrote about the albums' title track.

The album features eleven songs and is considered alternative rock. Myers moved to Temecula in 2006 and says he loves it here.
