Pechanga Gets Noticed By TV Hotshots During Recent Emmy Awards

Pechanga Resort & Casino caught the attention of top television peeps following an Emmy win handed to a producer who filmed at the popular Temecula venue.

This past weekend, Dr. Travis Fox of MindFox Productions took home a win in the Special Events Coverage category of the 2013 National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Emmy® Awards/Pacific Southwest Chapter. The footage and audio of “The Fab Four: The Ultimate Tribute,” for which Fox scored the Emmy, was recorded inside Pechanga Resort & Casino’s theater on January 6, 2012.

The PBS special began airing in June 2012 and has been seen by millions of viewers across the country. The show featured the Beatles tribute band, which has been noted as the best around due to their precise attention to detail and “note for note renditions of Beatles songs,” according to the band’s website. The television show was also nominated in the area of Director Post Production.

Fox and other winners in the Pacific Southwest regional Emmy Awards were presented with their winged, golden statues June 15 at an awards ceremony in Las Vegas.

A Fab Four concert takes the audience through the history of The Beatle’s journey, complete with an actor playing the part of Ed Sullivan introducing the four lads from Liverpool on his show and showcasing music from every era of the musicians’ careers.
