Sierra Club Screens Film

The local chapter will show a film about the life of the club's founder, John Muir.

The local Sierra Club chapter is scheduled to screen a film about its founder.

"John Muir in the New World" will show at the in Temecula at 7:30 p.m., according to Jim Mitchell, head of the local chapter.

"This summer, (the film) won top honors in the documentary category at the Fallbrook Film Festival," Mitchell said in an email.

Attendees were encouraged to bring a blanket or low folding chairs and a picnic. Admission is free, Mitchell said.
