'The Sound of Music' Opens Thursday at Old Town Temecula Community Theater

Temecula Valley Players launch 31st season with "The Sound of Music," Sept. 12-29.

The hills will soon be alive with memorable music & lyrics of Rogers and Hammerstein’s  renowned family favorite, The Sound of Music.

The Temecula Valley Players are launching the 31st season of quality entertainment with the story of Maria (played by award winning actress and songbird Barbara Chiofalo) a sweet young postulant whose love of freedom makes it obvious to her superiors that she is not suited for religious life. Thus, she is sent off to be the governess to Captain von Trapp's (played by Tim Harvey) seven troublesome children (Melissa Smith, Noah Green, Taryn Murphy, Cole Harvey, Emily Ramos, Kaysee French, Sariah Moore) and so the fun begins.  Songs that you grew up with, My Favorite Things, The Sound of Music and of course Do-Re-Mi will fill the house at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater.  The dynamic artistic team of Don Vecchione-Director, Brian Smith-Musical Director and Stephanie Vecchione-Choreographer, have worked hard and tirelessly to give the audience the very best in a theatre experience.

Performances are September 12-29 Thurs, Fri, Sat at 7:30 & Sundays at 2:00 at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater 42051 Main Street, Temecula 92590.
