VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT: Temecula Valley International Film & Music Film Festival Recruiting Now

Organizers say there are plenty of opportunities for the community to get involved in this 18th annual event.

The following was submitted for publication by the Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival (TVIFF):

The 18th Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival (TVIFF) returns on Sept. 17-21, 2014 bigger and better than ever and is now looking for volunteers to help continue to make the festival one of the most respected and successful events of its kind.

“Volunteers are the nuts and bolts of the Festival, “said TVIFF founder and producer Jo Moulton. “We have some amazing and talented people here in the Temecula Valley and this is an excellent way to get involved, become part of the festival, and most of all have a great time.”

There are plenty of opportunities for the community to get involved.

Are you a good writer? Perhaps you are a frequent blogger with a lot of social media experience and are internet savvy and interested in providing marketing support. How about experience with producing big events…we could use your experience in production and staging. Muscles are needed to haul gear and skilled handymen and carpenters are always welcomed. Maybe you’re a food server or a bartender who can help provide refreshments or are fluent in French, Japanese, Spanish or other languages and can be an interpreter for our international guests. Can you run a projector or introduce films, moderate a workshop or help people find their seats?

In addition to the knowledge volunteers gain from being part of a premier film and music festival, community members can meet and work with industry professionals, expand their social and professional networks, make new friends and gain valuable, hands-on experience.

Flexible shifts are available to allow you to tailor your time and talents to meet your schedule. As a volunteer you are entitled to a pass to see festival movies for FREE and are eligible for discounts to many Special Events including Opening Night and the star-studded Black Tie Gala.

Whether you’re new to the area or have been here for many years, volunteering with the TVIFF is an experience you’ll never forget.
