Voting Day Is Much Like Switching Chairs On The Titanic

Throughout the Bush era from 2000-2008, those who were not Republicans were awakened, awakened to a world that was harsh and unforgiving. Throughout the 8 years of W's presidency, Democrats wrestled with the facts of how one administration could be on the wrong side of an issue one after another. Up was down, Democrats were the only real democrats, and Republicans waived their placards, rubber stamping one issue after another, all the while Democrats picketed and stomped and rallied one after another.
Then in 2008 our knight in shining armor came to change things, we hoped. This is where things get interesting, Democrats who were anti government for a decade became the biggest proponents of anything the Obama administration did, basically they became everything they despised about Republicans. Wars were suddenly accepted, no longer picketed and rallied against, the media coverage all began to support Obama much like they did his predecessor. Democrats began to sing the pledge of allegiance again, while Republicans found themselves in an entire new role. Republicans found themselves scratching their heads wondering how this country deteriorated so quickly, but sadly you were blind to Bush, as Democrats are blind to Obama. Even more sad is the fact that Democrats needed Republicans when times were tough through the Bush era, if we had all stuck together then we would not be in the mess that we are in today.
During these times turn off the television and begin to read and develop thoughts on your own, reference on non-corporate websites. We are living in the age of misinformation, we all spew out our left wing vs. right ring talking points, that are generated by a mass media marketing machine, information that is not complete or misleading, or even information used to distract us from the larger issues.
Democrats get your head out of the sand, Obama has done nothing to end the outsourcing of our jobs for cheap labor over seas, nothing for student loans, nothing to blockade big pharma, nothing to end the war in Afghanistan, the tax brake for the poor took 5 years to receive (but corporations are
mostly tax free), Obamacare was a terrible compromise from a negotiation that should have began with a single payer stance, and a terrible take over of our schools with common core.
Republicans please learn from the last two election processes, do not get all excited about Rand Paul or some moron candidate that campaigns selling you lie after lie, stay at home on November 4th, we need real change,  because the only thing that I see change is the party that takes office.
