Pat and Oscar's Back in Business

The local favorite was shuttered after the cooperate office went through bankruptcy.

is back in business.

The local restaurant's doors are open again after being shuttered during bankruptcy proceedings, according to the Californian.

The owner, Oscar Sarkisian, vowed to reopen the location -- the biggest in the restaurant's chain -- as soon as possible.

Seventy of the 72 employees who were laid off in the closure were rehired, Sarkisian's daughter, Tammy Moore, told the newspaper.

The restaurant was closed for two weeks, starting on Sept. 23 and ending on Friday.

The owners read the comments section of on-line news articles suggesting a high-end restaurant take Pat and Oscar's place, Moore told the Californian.

So, Sarkisian plans to include higher-end choices on the new menu, including a list of Temecula-made wine list and local craft beers.

"We want to take it to the next level," she told the paper.
