Former and active-duty servicemen and women will be invited to dine free at Pechanga Resort & Casino today in honor of the federal holiday commemorating Veterans Day.
"Veterans Day is one of our favorite times of year around here," said Pechanga Development Corp. President Joaquin Fletcher. "Some of these brave soldiers only get to visit us once a year, and our team members just love thanking them for everything they have done to protect our great nation."
Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., current and former vets with a valid military identification card, discharge papers or veterans' organization card will be welcome to dine free at the casino buffet. The same service will be offered for dinner, between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Guests of service members, including family, will be charged regular price.
The casino has served nearly 5,800 complimentary meals since the Veterans' Day free buffet started in 2009, according
to the tribe.
