The votes are in for Patch's informal poll following the famous Chick-fil-A statement against gays and the results reveal that Temecula residents could not care less if a business here is against homosexuality.
In the poll, people were asked where a company's position of equal rights affect whether one will spend money at that business.
The answers available were
In some cases, yes
Yes, absolutely
Not at all
Out of 34 folks who voted,
Seven readers said that in some cases, they would consider a business' stance on equal rights before spending money.
Twelve folks said they absolutely would consider an equal rights stance in their buying decisions.
Fifteen said they would not at all consider the company's position.
Add those figures to the comments and the indication is that a significant number of Temecula basically make up their own minds where they will eat and shop, and statements from companies regarding social or political positions do not factor into those decisions.
