Temecula Valley Hospital Announces Chief Medical Officers

Leading the medical staff will be Dr. Abayomi Odubela, Internal Medicine as chief of staff; Dr. Andrew Ho, Cardiology, as chief of medicine; and Dr. Tito Gorski, General Surgery, as chief of surgery.

Temecula Valley Hospital announced Friday that its inaugural officers have been elected.

Leading the medical staff at the hospital that is preparing for its grand opening are: Dr. Abayomi Odubela, Internal Medicine as chief of staff; Dr. Andrew Ho, Cardiology, as chief of medicine; and Dr. Tito Gorski, General Surgery, as chief of surgery, according to a news release.

Odubela, chief of staff, stated that goals of the medical staff are “to provide consistent high quality medical care to each and every patient and to provide that care in a respectful and collaborative manner with the patient, their family, and all members of the care team."

When asked why he wished to serve as chief of medicine, Ho stated: “I see a genuine desire at Temecula Valley Hospital to provide exceptional and compassionate care. The vision and values of the hospital align with my overall philosophy as a medical doctor."

Gorski, chief of surgery, commented: “Temecula Valley Hospital has very motivated medical staff leadership that is committed to high standards of care.  They have a vested interest in the community and in the success of the new hospital.”

Additional physician leaders serving on the hospital's Medical Executive Committee, according to the news release, are: Larry Boggeln, MD, Family Medicine; Dan Friedlich, MD, Neurosurgery; Eugene Golts, MD, Cardiothoracic Surgery; Pranav Kachhi, MD, Emergency Medicine; Paul Phelps, MD, Anesthesia; David Scafidi, MD, Radiology; George Shahinian, MD, Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine; Robert Veve, MD, Pathology; and Jonathan Woolery, MD, Internal Medicine.

Temecula Valley Hospital, 31700 Temecula Parkway, is under the management of United Health Services, Inc.

An onsite visit and inspection from state officials is scheduled to begin Monday for what will become the city's first such facility.
