The first store opened in the mid-90s, and it will be closed down by the end of this week.

thank you for featuring this story. As a Starbucks partner who works at this location, we are all very grieved about the decision to close its doors. We love hearing stories from all our loyal customers and community of the fond memories they having here at Starbucks TowerPlaza, since it was the first in Temecula. We encourage everyone to come on out Wednesday for Customer Appreciation Day, our way of saying thank you for all the memories, laughs and friendships. Hope to see you all there!

It is indeed a sad day @ Temecula's Tower Plaza. This lovely, secluded location was perfect for coffee and a little quiet time. Alas, it proved to be too secluded and to quiet to survive the corporate quest for "bottom line numbers." Farwell favorite Starbuck's, you will be sorely missed.
