Something strangely significant occurred at my workplace at 8AM this past Wednesday. Seeing as how the wind was nearly calm, the sky un-threatening and because none of my co-workers encountered a disaster on their way in, we were left wondering what could possibly have caused a power failure.
At about 8:15 we gathered together in the only area of the building with sunlight and a view of the intersection, the windowed showroom of our dealership. Included in the group were all of the technicians, the grease monkey, the detailer, the service writer, the parts and service managers, the accounting and title clerk and the oldest person in the company who doubles as its only certified right-wing pundit . . .
