Anti-Obama Marine Feels Optimistic

Dozens rallied outside Camp Pendleton to support the Temecula marine who denounced the president on Facebook.

 

A marine who is in hot water because of anti-Obama comments he made of Facebook is feeling optimistic about an upcoming penal hearing.

Sgt. Gary Stein maintains a page on the social networking website called Armed Forces Tea Party. He posted earlier this month that he would not follow orders from the president -- the commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

"I'm optimistic," the sergeant told the Californian newspaper. "I hope they see that what I've done is within protected speech, and that I haven't violated policy."
