Assign a Reporter Contest

If there's something you'd like us to cover, assign it to us. We'll pick one reader-assigned story this week, research it, write it and publish it next week.

If there’s something you’d like to see covered on Temecula Patch, assign it to us.

This week, send us your story ideas. We’ll choose one reader-submitted assignment by Friday that we find especially compelling. We'll research it, write it and publish it next week. Also, the winner will get some free Patch knickknacks.

The assignments can be about anything you’d like to read.

If you want our reporter to collect the best recipes from your favorite Temecula restaurants, we’ll do it. If you want to know who is funding our local politicians' campaigns, we’ll find out. If you want to know what Granite Construction plans to do if its mining permits are denied, we'll ask them.

The deadline's Friday, and the story will be out about a week later. We’ll give you credit for the story idea in the article, too.

This is the second time we ran this contest. The first time, a reader asked us to find statistics on the number of illegal immigrants who are arrested locally.
