Film, Music Festival Deadline Approaches

A deadline was set for the end of June to enter films for the contest.

Filmmakers who want to enter the Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival need to act fast. The deadline was set for June 30, according to the fest’s website.

The upcoming fest will be its 17th running. The event aims to nurture independent film and music makers by showcasing their talent, according to the website.

The festival was slated for Sept. 14-18 at the UltraStar Cinemas at the Tower Plaza.

Films will be divided into five categories: full-length, shorts, documentaries, animation and student films.

Production on entries had to wrap up in 2009-2011.

Last year’s event included 22 full-length features, 20 documentaries, 103 short films, student films, animation and showcases. Twenty music acts also took the stage.
