Home Defense Taught at New Club's Meeting

The Wine Country Oath Keepers will hold its second meeting at the Temecula Public Library.

A new club, including mostly emergency workers, are set to meet in Temecula.

The Oath Keepers, a non-partisan association of active and retired military and law enforcement officers who swore an oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution, will hold its second meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday at the .

The meeting will include Joel Persinger, co-owner of Practical Defense Systems. He will go over the dos and don'ts of home defense, according to Lou Reyes, the event's coordinator.

"As we all know, we are living in rapidly changing times, and it's important to be armed with the knowledge of how to protect yourself should the occasion arise," he said in an emailed announcement.
