Local Officials to Fight to Be Temecula's Assemblyman

Phil Paule, 48, district director to Congressman Darrell Issa, and Lake Elsinore's Mayor Pro-Tem Bob Magee may compete to represent Temecula as the 66th District's assemblyman.

Bob Magee, 48, hasn’t officially announced his candidacy for State Assembly in 2012, but the Lake Elsinore Mayor Pro Tem has taken steps in that direction, including that he was forming an exploratory committee to look at a possible bid.

If Magee, a Republican, does put his hat in the ring, he will have competition from a conservative GOP candidate who just announced his bid last week.

Phil Paule, 48, district director to Congressman Darrell Issa (R-Vista), 49th District, has announced he will make a run for the seat currently held by Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries (R-Lake Elsinore), 66th District.
