Radioactive waste was scheduled to be transported through Temecula via truck in the near future.

The waste -- four steam generators -- will come from the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station on Interstate 15, exit in Temecula and take backroads to avoid bridges incapable of holding its weight, then get back on I-15 going north.

The parts will be headed toward their ultimate resting place in Utah, according to reports.
