Official Supports Small Business Saturday

One city official encouraged Temecula residents to buy local as part of Small Business Saturday.

Chuck Washington, a member, encouraged the public to buy just one item from a small businesses on Saturday.

Small businesses give about 65 percent of employed Americans their jobs, and they make up about 60 percent of the nation's economy, he said during a meeting at the on Tuesday.

"We have an unemployment issue in this country," he said, and small acts like this will take a step toward making it better.
