Police Hold Bike Clinic

The clinic aims to teach children about bike safety and maintenance. It also lets kids interact with law enforcement, building trust.

Kids were invited to learn about bicycle safety from their friendly neighborhood officers.

The SAFE Police Activities League is scheduled to host a clinic on bike safety and maintenance from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at its headquarters at 28910 Pujol Street.

"Temecula (and) Murrieta Police Departments will work with the kids on how to take care of their bikes, as well as some practical ride safety that everyone should know before going out on a ride," said Patti Drew, one of the organizers of the event.
