What about ? If you live out in the Wine Contry, it's one of the closest.

is a new place in Old Town with a cowboy theme, which makes it unique.

is a great place if you're looking for some inexpensive take out. Their prices are hard to beat.

is known for its "White Lady" pizza, though the classic western movie posters on the walls make it stand out, too. Is this your favorite?

What about ? After the , the original owners bought the Temecula location, so it looks like it's here to stay.

So, which is your favorite? Tell us in the poll above, and we'll announce the winner on Friday.

It looks like the editor needs to add the above mentioned pizzerias to the list, because I won't even bother to vote until they are. My favorites are Bongiorno's and Fillipi's, but based on these comments, I'm going to try Spuntino's and see what they bring to the table. Pat and Oscars? REALLY?
Brent Irving March 21, 2012 at 11:54 am
Rosati's off of Rancho Cal. However I will have to try a couple of the recommendations listed above.
Susan Marsh March 21, 2012 at 12:08 pm
Really??? Who made this list? someone who doesn't like pizza? I vote for Filippi's!
Thanks for the poll, I think I will give a few mentioned in the comments a try. I will steer clear of those mentioned in the poll

Ive lived in Italy, New York and Chicago. Spuntinos by far is deepest most flavorful pizz in Temecula!!! Even the staff and makers are first generation from the motherland. It's not Chicago deep dish, but much better all around. Manga!!!!!

New Park Pizza, Cross Bay Blvd. Howard Beach, NY.

The Mill is outstanding. Great pasta and salads too. Fun to hear about other places our family has not tried. Enjoyed Nitza's a lot although wish the place was about 10 x larger as it's really popular :)
KonaKathie March 21, 2012 at 01:13 pm
Yes, Filippi's is the closest to the great pizzas you get in the Northeast. Stadium pizza? Are you serious? One of the worst I've ever had.
adub March 21, 2012 at 01:45 pm
SCARCELLI'S?!?! That place is such a let down! Their pizza is terrible and the service sucks. Spuntino has it all! Great service, amazing food, fun friendly family atmosphere...these other places don't even come close! Ew...oscars? Really people...???
Sarah Dominguez March 21, 2012 at 02:06 pm
List == ALL nasty!! None are good pizza! Can't wait to try to try these other places ppl are mentioning!
John Shaffer March 21, 2012 at 02:55 pm
Rosati's, Sputino and Filippi's are best. Temecula Pizza Co. is close.
Jerry Simeon March 21, 2012 at 03:21 pm
Shakey's and Lil Caesars has been a family favorite and great value for years. Ask any youth sports team or coordinator. Independent??
Brenda March 21, 2012 at 03:34 pm
Same here, thought for sure to see Filippi's, very disappointed. They are easily the best Pizza I have had.
Brenda March 21, 2012 at 03:43 pm
And ya know Jerry both Shakey's and LiL Caesars should get credit for that alone, for ALWAYS supporting the schools, sports, and the Cities they are in. Add the price and locality and they really are favorites.

Are you friggin kidding me? A choice between one fast-food pizza joint from the next? Where is Spuntino Pizzeria on this list; hands-down the best.
Does whomever made this poll even live in Temecula?
Fade67 March 21, 2012 at 04:55 pm
Rosati's
Steven Schwartz March 21, 2012 at 09:11 pm
Bongiornos in Temecula. Real NY tyle, thin crust!!!
stef March 22, 2012 at 12:57 am
Can't believe Fillipis and Scarcellas aren't listed. But y'all NEED to try Nitza's in Old Town.
Denise Lemeiux March 22, 2012 at 02:00 am
Bongiornio's I got to be the best ever.
Joelle Havers March 22, 2012 at 02:09 am
Scarcella's was awesome when it was still family-owned. A divorce forced a sale and the food and service have nose-dived ever since.
DAVID thielfoldt March 23, 2012 at 09:37 am
Bongiornos was not that good, went last night to try.....
Brenda March 23, 2012 at 12:41 pm
I think that with the comments Fillipos or one of the others would have won. Ohh and I have lived in So Cal all my life, and Temecula now 10+ yrs and I never knew about Filippi's until about 2 weeks ago. Love them but alot of pizza. I counted up the responses until David, but his was a negative and looks like the comments give it to Fillipi's and Spuntino's. **Disclaimer: I had about 2 hours sleep last night as my grandson insisted on sleeping with me. Oh what fun!! So my count may be off. If someone said 3 favorites I counted all three. :) I will be trying all these others too! I picked Pat and Oscar's on the list because its nice and thin and light, crispy and I don't feel like I just ate a chunk of dough. But then I really like all the new thin crusts now with oils drizzled on them, a bit of different types of unique toppings and fired up being served as appetizers now at restaurants or as a meal too.
Bongiornos 6 -1 from David Scarcellas 1 Rosati's 3 Spuntino Pizzeria 8 Filippi's 8 Pacino's 2 LiL Caesars 1 extra points for neighborhood, school sports participations and cost Shakey's 1 extra points for neighborhood, school sports participations and cost The Mill 1 Leave it to me to count up all the comment ones :) Makes it easier to see who you want to try :P
Brenda March 23, 2012 at 12:49 pm
Will have to try Temecula Pizza Co and Stadiums too with the results. Going to gain 50lbs just trying them all. Good idea on the voting for best Pizza, take my 50lbs with you. Had over 200 vote that is cool.
The Peacekeeper March 24, 2012 at 02:33 pm
I guess after reading all these comments it comes down to what kind of pizz you prefer. Thin crust, deep dish, etc. I still favor the deep flavor of Spuntinos! BTW, Nitza's was one of the most bland pie's Ive ever tasted, especially for their rip off prices. SMH....................
Peter Surowski March 24, 2012 at 04:56 pm
Thanks Brenda. I was just doing the same thing when I realized I could have just looked at your list. I got the same count.
Brenda March 24, 2012 at 05:47 pm
That is true LA, and if you like it smoothered in gobs of sauce. I like Filippi's cause the sauce is very light, but they still load it with the toppings and artery clogging cheese. I have not even checked to see if they have thin crust but if they do that would even be better!!
Only suggestion I have for them is slice up the fricking bell pepper THINNER. I think they use alot cause its cheaper. LOL

All comes down to getting the "GOLD" Balanced right in the big City Hall right? We areRead More broke we are broke! We have how many more million dollar residents, ranches, farms who pay taxes, how many more business's, triple, quadruple, on and on that pay taxes, and some very large business's at that for YEARS. Yet Murietta and Menifee with just the few they have can manage to not only put in side walks, AND ALSO ACTULLY Listen their residents, instead of call them names like Paul has been, concerns and respond to them. Hell we are just now getting some attention to our driving issues with running red lights, speeding, not stopping at stop signs, driving drunk, high, or wreeklessly causing deaths and serious injuries to walkers, bike riders, skate board, scooter riders, wheelchairs, motor bike riders, and other cars. But how many lives were lost or severly disabled until we just now the last 2 weeks have been giving traffic details for different areas, cell phone details, etc. Lucky to get some sidewalks finished in 10 years if someone doesnt figure out where our "Gold" is we all pay in. And stop calling names people at the City meetings to Paul or anyone else trying to get our City to do what its there for. By the time someone in your own family is killed they will be laughing at you for standing up asking for sidewalks right? Just like on the "Patch" comment areas, always calling names instead of sticking with your fellow Temeculites and getting us something DONE! Before we loose more lives
