Power Cut to 2,500 Homes

Thousands were left with no electricity Tuesday, and crews are working to restore power today.

Hundreds of Temecula homes and businesses were without power today, and crews were working on the problem.

An underground equipment failure cut the electricity to 2,500 homes around 3:52 p.m. Tuesday, according to Lauren Bartlett of Southern California Edison.

Power was restored shortly after to all but 200 customers in the area of Rancho California and Margarita roads, she said.
