Rain Expected to Linger a Little Longer

Rain and fog could make for a miserable Monday-morning commute.

The weekend storm that has pounded Northern California and soaked Southern California dropped a modest .12 of an inch in Temecula as of Sunday morning, with more rain possible before the skies clear.

The National Weather Service forecast for Temecula:

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph.

Sunday night: A 50 percent chance of rain, mainly before 4am. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 50. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of rain before 10am. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning.

Monday night: Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. South wind around 5 mph becoming north in the evening.

Tuesday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 75. North wind around 5 mph becoming west in the morning.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 48.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.
