Temecula Chiropractor Pleads Not Guilty in Sexual Assault Case

Dr. Jeffrey Richard Marrs, 46, is charged with five counts of sexual battery and one count of sexual penetration with a foreign object.

A chiropractor who has offices in Temecula and Hemet and is accused of sexually assaulting at least two of his patients pleaded not guilty Wednesday to felony charges.

Dr. Jeffrey Richard Marrs, 46, is charged with five counts of sexual battery and one count of sexual penetration with a foreign object. He entered his plea at his arraignment at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta and is due back in court Feb. 11 for a felony settlement conference. He is free on a $500,000 bond.

Marrs was arrested in November at his Hemet office, Lifestyle Chiropractic & Wellness, 2091 W. Florida Ave. Hemet police Lt. Duane Wisehart said detectives received reports of alleged illegal activity at the doctor's office the previous month and initiated an investigation.

"The offenses were reported to have occurred at Dr. Marrs' place of business, and there is more than one victim," Wisehart said. "It is believed there may be other victims of Dr. Marrs' criminal activity."
