Temecula Patch Welcomes Bloggers

The new blogging feature aims to give locals with a flair for writing a voice our favorite news website.

Temecula Patch is looking to add a new voice to the website. Yours.

The new 'Local Voices" section is the gateway to opinion from folks in our community

If you have an opinion and a flair for writing, Temecula Patch wants to hear from you.

Click the link in the upper-right corner of the site reading, "sign up." Fill in your bio and upload a picture of yourself. Then, on the home page, click the link reading, "Want your voice on Patch?"

That will send the editor, Peter Surowski, an email saying you want to be a blogger. He'll take care of the rest.

You can write as often or as infrequently as you want. Once a day, once a week, once a month is fine. You can write as much or as little as you want. You can even put up pictures.

The best, most interesting blogs will run on Temecula Patch's home page along with a picture of your face, much as they appear on the Huffington Post.

In fact, AOL, the parent company of Patch, bought the Huffington Post and brought the staff onboard. HuffPo created a great way for average citizens to reach millions of readers across the world, and Temecula Patch is working to do the same for Temeculans.

If you need help, feel free to call the editor at 951-315-7784 or drop him an email at peter.surowski@patch.com. He'll be happy to help you out.

What a great idea! The truest expression of democracy is not only ones vote but ones voice. Everyone has a point of view worthy of sharing as long as it's done with taste. Thank you for making the blog option available, I will be signing up soon and making my contributions Steve

This is just what we need, to be able to voice an opinion, and find out if you'er alone on a subject

Nothing like a few brain stimulating hometown opinions to keep the blood flowing. Sounds like a winner to me. I'll sign up & try to find the time to post. Thanks for this feature!
